3d modelling came along quite late and the only reason I got into it was through a friend. We were in a gaming clan together and he was always tinkering or modding the games we played. I can remember mapping for the sadly defunct Dice City for Battlefield Vietnam and wanting to add tunnels, learnt how to create and the theory of how to apply it in a map, I never got around to actually doing it. BF2 came along and Dice City “died”, but my early taste of modelling stuck with me. Today I create one offs, challenges to myself and lately, designing sets for creating scenery. In the “Odd” section you’ll find things that I’ve done that don’t fit in with the site title, but they are included for very good reasons. Not to off my own modelling skills, (or lack off for that fact), but how I’ve progressed my ambitions in what I wanted to do with what knowledge I do have.
…ABOUT ME…
I’ve been using PC’s for about twelve years, mucking about with Amiga computers before that. I’ve always been fascinated about digital art. Of course today PC produced art or animation is everywhere and while I don’t wish to apart of the industry, I have great admiration for those that are, my problem in life being this, as soon as you do something you love in life as a job, it no longer becomes enjoyable and being timetabled to a schedule becomes a chore. That said, I enjoy nothing more than curling up with the dog and watching a 3D animated movie, be it Toy Story. Terra, 9 or even Final Fantasy. My other main interest is my other web site and passion, Classic Star Wars Lego Mini figs, I’ve been collecting them since they first appeared ten or so years ago and admit it’s my guilty pleasure, I must have nearly two hundred of the little fellows by now and ever closer to completing the collection. Apart from that I live with my wife and Tazzy in South Wales UK, but that’s enough of the personal stuff your getting.
