I started to do some compositions and renders in the vein of the Underworld series, this was after a weekend free to drink the ol’ red wine and watch movies. For me the most stylistic and enjoyable have been Kate Beckinsale and Lens Wisemans first two in the series. And with news of sequels which will include Kate in at least the first before handing over the reigns to another actress, inspiration followed after doing the Ninja crow. Whilst not trying to capture the feel or look of Underworld, it’s still the inspiration as of course is that tight, black, rubber suit of Selene a look I will try to discover.
Long before I started this project, I must admit a certain attraction to Ms Beckinsale which got me to produce these pieces of PS work in which I tried to imitate the style of the original posters, (of which some I’ve collected).
So with the news of at least one new film and falling in love with the concept and style again and hot after the “Ninja Crow”, in which I tried to replicate night scenes using Daz’s UberEnvironment2 and spotlights, I started to create my own Selene Death Dealer…
Obviously the above images have yet to resemble the look or style, nor does Skye’s clothing resemble Selene’s outfit or look, but for lighting effect, DOF and shadow it’s a good start.
Following on, the next image of Skye in defaulted pose, clothing for her is rather hard to come by, but by using what I do have and by discarding the textures I’ve tweaked the surfaces to give a rubber look. Using Threadz originally for Hiro and converted using Evil Innocences crossdresser, (one of the few items that converts very well). Finally the hair piece is called DeRoca by SWAM Silencer. Using Stonemason’s Dark Side of the City and Porismo’s gun prop the render continuing the the style of using UberEnvironment2 and spotlights which I’m really liking at the moment.
These are the last couple of images that I’ve done in this series and currently won’t be doing any more till I restore my Daz directory.
